What to do when the unlocking Code is not Working HTC?
There are some aspects that have to be taken into account when the unlocking code does not work, namely:
- Check whether you communicated the appropriate IMEI (either dial *#06# , or check it underneath the battery) because it is a basic very important variable for the supplier that delivers your code;
- Pay attention when you introduce the unlocking code because it may ask for another type of PIN, other than unlocking PIN. The designed messages for unlocking pin are: “SIM Network Unlock PIN” or “Enter Network Lock Control Key”. If these pieces of info were correct, it is recommended to go to the third step.
- Make a hard reset of the phone and try the unlocking codes once more.
A hard reset a.k.a. a hardware/factory reset is simply the restoration of a device to the state it was in when leaving the factory. It is a simple process.
Please be aware that taking this action comes along with phone restoration to the factory settings. It means that all data and apps added by you in the interim will be deleted. It is recommended to make a backup or to save all data you want to keep.
